Terms of Sale and Licence

Last updated: October 22, 2026

These terms apply when you download, try or buy Fleuron, the app for writing and formatting books. Fleuron is run by Marcus Lew, Sweden ("we", "us"). By using Fleuron, you agree to them.

1. Trying Fleuron

You can download Fleuron, or open the web app at app.fleuron.pub, and use it free of charge. The free version does everything except make finished files (ebooks, print PDFs, Word files, the narrator script and cover downloads). You can use it for as long as you like.

2. Buying Fleuron

Purchases are made through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the seller (the "merchant of record") and handles payment, receipts, sales tax and VAT. Prices are shown in US dollars; your local taxes may be added at checkout.

When you buy, a Fleuron account is made for the email address you bought with, and your licence is added to it. We email you a link to choose a password. You can also sign in with a code we send to that email.

3. What your licence lets you do

Your licence is personal. You may not sell or share your account, or let others use it beyond the computers and the web app allowed above.

4. What you may not do

You may not copy and pass on Fleuron itself, take apart or change the app to get around the licence check, or use Fleuron to break the law or anyone's rights.

5. Your books and backups

Fleuron saves your books on your own computer (or, in the web app, in your web browser's storage), and keeps backup copies there. You are responsible for keeping copies of your work. We are not responsible for books lost through a computer failure, deleted files, cleared browser data or other causes outside our control, though we will always try to help.

6. Fonts, stores and other services

Fleuron includes fonts under their own open licences, which allow use in books. Features that work with other services (Google Fonts, Amazon, Kindle, Apple Books, Kobo, Google Play, Barnes & Noble, KDP, IngramSpark) depend on those services, which we don't control and which may change. Fetch from Amazon is a beta feature and may stop working. You are responsible for meeting each store's rules when you publish.

7. No warranty

We work hard to make Fleuron reliable, and we fix problems you report. But Fleuron is provided "as is", without any warranty that it will be free of errors or suit every purpose. Always check your finished files, for example in Kindle Previewer and with a printed proof copy, before you publish.

8. Limit of liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost sales, lost profits or lost data. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Fleuron. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by law.

9. Refunds

You can get your money back within 30 days, no questions asked. See our Refund Policy.

10. Ending the licence

Your licence lasts for as long as you keep to these terms. If you break them, we may end it after telling you why. If you get a refund, the licence ends and making files is locked again, in the app and the web app.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Changes apply to purchases made after they are published; we will never take away what you already bought.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. If you are a consumer in another country, you keep the protection of its consumer laws.
